The Pre-College Track is part of the SHPE Region 7 RLDC. During the conference, undergraduate and graduate students are exposed to workshops to improve their leadership and professional skills as well as provide networking opportunities with professionals and companies. The Pre-College Track is geared towards middle and high school students in order to spark their interest in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics Fields. The conference along with the Pre-College Track is aligned with SHPE’s mission and vision. SHPE changes lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support and development. SHPE's vision is a world where Hispanics are highly valued and influential as the leading innovators, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers.

 

The Pre-College Track will be a day filled with workshops, hands-on-activities, question and answer panels, campus tour, and an Innovation Challenge Competition. Below one can find the tentative schedule for the Pre-College Track. A finalized schedule will be sent out to attendees a week before the conference and will also receive a schedule at check in registration.
