Who We Are?
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (SHPE-UNCC) has been paving the way in Charlotte for the Latino community. From hours of community service to professional development opportunities, we offer the Latino community many opportunities to enhance their lives through STEM. This upcoming Spring 2017, UNCC SHPE will have the great pleasure of hosting the Regional Leadership Development Conference for Region 7. The SHPE-UNCC chapter has been dedicating their time to the Hispanic community in the city of Charlotte by providing outreach, mentorship, and various workshops that focus on developing professional, technical, and leadership skills. Because of their immense dedication, UNCC SHPE was awarded the Community Outreach Award for the 2015-16 academic year. We continue to demonstrate our talent not only with high academic achievements, but also through our involvement in a variety of extracurricular activities, to be the role models for our community.
